Eric Saubert wins Smashburger’s “Smashed It” Play of the Week

Eric Saubert earned this week’s Smashburger “Smashed It” Play of the Week for his clutch touchdown against the Texans on Sunday afternoon at Empower Field at Mile High.
The Broncos were trailing Houston 9-6 in the forth quarter of their Week 2 showdown when QB Russell Wilson found Saubert streaking down the middle of the field. It was Denver’s lone TD on the day, a 22-yard strike to put them in the lead for good. The Broncos went on to win the game 16-9.
Denver still hasn’t scored a touchdown in the red zone this year, with the Saubert score coming just outside of that pivotal area on the football field. The Broncos have a lot to clean up before the San Francisco 49ers come to town next Sunday night, but it was enough to earn a victory against the Texans.
