The Rockies Twitter account offers a perfect tour of Fenway Park

May 15, 2019, 4:09 PM

Every sports fan has a “bucket list” of events and places they’d like to experience in person. On the vast majority of those must-sees, a trip to Fenway Park appears. The venerable home of the Red Sox, which opened in 1912 and has been the scene of some of the most-iconic moments in Major League Baseball history, is a pilgrimage for even casual fans.

So it’s no surprise that the Rockies are enjoying their rare trip to Boston, soaking up their two days at Fenway by checking out every nook and cranny of the old ballpark. Along the way, the team’s always-entertaining Twitter account became inspired, providing followers with some high-brow content befitting of a town that is how to Harvard, MIT and other prestigious institutions of higher learning.

Today, the Rockies offered a photo tour of the Red Sox’s home, accompanied by a Robert Frost sonnet. Across four tweets, the team’s account used “Mowing” to summarize the feeling of an afternoon at Fenway Park.

That’s some next level stuff. A tip of the cap to the Rockies for offering content that causes followers to think, feel and learn.

It was a nice follow up to their artsy stadium shots yesterday.

And today, the Rockies continued to act just like every sports fan checking something off of their bucket list.

Now, another win tonight would be the perfect way to cap off a trip to Fenway Park that has been pretty amazing so far, both on and off the field.
