Marino: Broncos QB Keenum give his team ‘opportunity to win every game’

As a member of the legendary 1983 NFL Draft class and now a senior advisor with the Miami Dolphins, Dan Marino knows a thing or two about good quarterback play.

And on Friday, the Hall of Fame quarterback told “Schlereth and Evans” that Denver Broncos quarterback Case Keenum gives any team he’s on a shot at a victory.

“You get a guy like that, solid, understands how to move his team, doesn’t make mistakes or put the team in bad situations, he’s a guy that’s going to give you the opportunity to win every game you’re in,” Marino said.

In 2017, during the Minnesota Vikings path to the NFC Championship game, Keenum had the sixth-lowest interception percentage in the NFL, tossing just seven interceptions in 481 attempts.

Also, Keenum’s completion percentage ranked second in the league, just behind future Hall of Famer Drew Brees.

“Case has been a solid quarterback throughout his career,” Marino said, lauding the quarterback for a “solid” 2017 season.

In six previous seasons, Keenum has an interception percentage of 2.1 and a 61.9 completion percentage.
