Russell Wilson escapes the noise, heads to Cabo with Ciara

Nov 4, 2022, 4:02 PM

Russell Wilson loves flying, and he’s made that quite clear.

He got a chance to do some flying with his family while the football season is on pause. Wilson and his celebrity wife, Ciara headed south for Cabo, TMZ reports. Photos show him enjoying the vacation and also looking at a laptop.

Wilson is having a rough season, returning from injury last week and leading his third four-quarter comeback win of the season on Sunday in London. He’s also the signal caller of the NFL’s second-worst offense. His blockbuster trade and mega extension to stay in Denver this summer prompted a ton of hype about what Wilson could be but the noise of just how bad the Broncos has been louder than the excitement.

Perhaps Wilson was studying game footage ahead of the Broncos next matchup with the Titans. Wilson Tweeted out, “keep working,” just before the TMZ story dropped.

Wilson and his wife are always traveling. During training camp, Wilson caught the U.S. Open in New York; he also left minicamp for some time in France. In July, Wilson was spotted in Lake Como getting a pimple popped by Ciara.

While it’s not usual for players to travel during the bye week, Wilson’s celebrity is notable. So far, Wilson’s time in Denver has led to more memes, bathrooms and vacations than it has touchdowns.
