Avalanche Stanley Cup Final Game 1 tickets are available for crazy prices

Jun 7, 2022, 8:20 AM

So, you want to go to Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final at Ball Arena?

Well, so does everyone else.

Within hours of the Avalanche winning the Western Conference Final in dramatic fashion against the Oilers, tickets for the opener of the Stanley Cup Final started hitting the secondary market.

Here’s a look at “get in the door” prices from popular sites people buy tickets on (with a reminder big fees can also be charged):

Ticketmaster: $919.00
SeatGeek: $964.00
StubHub: $1,049.00
TickPick: $995.00

As of the publication of this story, tickets were not available on some other sites, including Vivid Seats. And again, this is just for Game 1, with prices for games later in the series also crazy, including a potential Game 7. The cheapest one for that on Ticketmaster currently sits at $1,120.00.

Obviously, Avalanche season ticket holders will have the option to purchase through the team, and the Avs could release additional tickets. But for now, this is what we’re seeing on the secondary market. It will be curious to monitor whether prices go up or down as the series gets closer, dates for the games are announced and the opponent is revealed.

Colorado will play either the Tampa Bay Lightning or New York Rangers as they pursue their first Stanley Cup since 2001. The Rangers currently lead the Lightning two games to one in the Eastern Conference Final.
