Former Denver Broncos tight end and pride of Fort Morgan, Colorado, Joel Dreessen is among a group of five Rams who’ll be honored as part of the 30th Colorado State Athletics Hall of Fame class.

Dreessen, who played football for CSU from 2001 to 2004 before an eight-year run in the NFL, will be honored alongside:

β€’ Rich Feller (Volleyball | 1983-β€˜96)

β€’ Tarry Harrison (Track and field, cross-country | 1966-β€˜69)

β€’ Debbie Maass (Track and field | 1991-β€˜94)

Former administrator Gary Ozzello, who spent 42 years working to advance CSU’s athletics program, will also be inducted into the school’s Hall of Honor.

A 2004 honorable mention All-American by SI.com and Pro Football Weekly, Dreessen earned first-team all-conference honors in 2002 and 2004 to go with second-team all-conference honors in 2003.

After being drafted by the Jets in 2005, Dreessen spent one season in New York before landing with the Houston Texans from 2007 to 2011.

Dreessen would spend the 2012 and 2013 seasons with the Broncos, playing in 29 games (15 starts) while catching 48 passes for 403 yards and six touchdowns.

Honorees will be officially inducted during a ceremony on Sept. 10 as part of the fourth annual All-Sports Reunion Weekend. The following day the CSU football team hosts Vanderbilt for Ag Day, wherein the class will be recognized as well.
