The Broncos are a lot like many of the things on the Thanksgiving table

In honor of Thanksgiving, I felt it necessary to combine two of my favorite things – food and football. Just like the holiday, the Denver Broncos can be hit or miss when it’s all said and done.

As you read this, you may be upset with me, and that’s okay. Just remember, I may be on the edge of starvation as I write this due to prepping for the holiday of gluttony.

Without further delay, here are my Broncos turkey day comparisons! – Just imagine when I said that, my voice was echoing.

When looking at the fancy Thanksgiving table, you have canned cranberries. Who does that compare to on the Broncos? Drew Lock! Yep, I said it. He means well, but just isn’t good enough to be at the table.

What the one thing that everyone seems to have their eyes on – the turkey! Well, I hate to say it, but that’s Phillip Lindsay. He can be amazing at times, but then he tends to get stuffed, and can comes up dry more often than not. I avoided saying the word moist.

What about my favorite, stuffing/dressing? That’s the Broncos defense! They tend to be the sneaky star of the of day. Always on point, as long as you don’t add the gizzards! Not really sure what that last part really means when talking about the defense. I just hate eating gizzards!

Then, there’s mashed potatoes. That has to be Melvin Gordon! He can be smooth and take things to the next level. But be careful, there may be some some droppings. Get it? Because he fumbles.

This one will catch you by surprise. Candied yams. And that is K.J. Hamler. At times, you forget he’s even there. Next thing you know, boom! There’s an explosion of goodness going on.

Green bean casserole? And that my friend is Garett Bolles. I know, you want to dislike him, but he’s too good not to appreciate.

The staple that is pumpkin pie? Well, that has to be Justin Simmons. No matter what happens, you can always count on him being good.

The one that is a bit odd is key lime pie. That would be Jerry Jeudy. Yes, pie is great, but this is a bit disappointing. Who the heck brings that to Thanksgiving?!

Now, this last one isn’t food, but we’ve all experienced it. It’s the drunk uncle. I think that’s Dalton Risner. You know he seems like a good guy, but he can’t stop talking about hard of a worker he is! Honestly, it just gets annoying after awhile.

There you have it, my Broncos turkey day comparisons!

I could have done more, but I didn’t want to. Kind of like the Broncos.
