Pro Football Focus ranks four Broncos among the best of the decade

Jan 2, 2020, 10:02 AM

As a new decade commences, various media outlets are taking the time to look back on the 2010s, providing reviews or what transpired during the previous 10 years. Pro Football Focus is the latest to get in on the fun, releasing their top-graded NFL players for each position.

Not surprisingly, the Broncos fared well. While the last four seasons have been rough, the Broncos did win five AFC West titles during the decade, while also making the trip to two Super Bowls and winning a championship.

Here are the Broncos who earned passing grades from 2010-19 from PFF:

***

VON MILLER

It’s trendy to bash the linebacker nowadays, coming off a season in which he “only” had eight sacks, but this grade shows he’s been the best in the business for a long time.

***

CHRIS HARRIS JR.

This certainly helps Harris make his case for a bigger contract, as only Richard Sherman – who will probably be in the Hall of Fame someday – was better in the 2010s.

***

MATT PRATER

Before heading to Detroit, Prater made some big kicks in Denver, including an NFL record 64-yarder. He also boomed two from 50-plus to help the Tim Tebow-led Broncos beat the Bears in 2011.

***

EVAN MATHIS

Mathis didn’t spend much time in Denver, but he was a part of the patchwork offensive line that helped the Broncos win Super Bowl 50.
