Game notes

» Denver and Houston have squared off just seven times, with the Broncos owning a 4-3 lead over Houston.

» Pass rusher Von Miller needs just one sack to pass Kevin Carter and Neil Smith for sole possession of 27th place on the NFL’s all-time sacks list. With two sacks, Miller would pass former teammate Elvis Dumervil for 26th place.

» With one interception, Chris Harris Jr. would join Mike Harden as the only Broncos players with multiple picks in eight consecutive seasons.

» Kicker Brandon McManus needs four field goals to pass Rich Karlis (137) for fourth-most all-time in club history.

» With two interceptions, safety Justin Simmons would tie Steve Atwater (12) for the third-most interceptions among Broncos safeties through their first four seasons.

» Wide receiver Courtland Sutton needs just four catches to become the fourth Denver player to reach 100 receptions through his first 29 games, joining Eddie Royal, Brandon Marshall and Glyn Milburn. Sutton would become just the third Broncos receiver to reach 1,000 yards receiving in a single season by his season year (Marshall, 2007; Lionel Taylor, 1960) with 94 more yards.

» Broncos defensive back Kareem Jackson makes his return to Houston, where he’d played since being drafted 20th overall in the 2010 NFL Draft before joining Denver this past offseason.

» Three Texans players — cornerback Bradley Roby (5), tackle Chris Clark (5) and safety Mike Adams (2) — played multiple seasons with the Broncos previously.
