Sports Radio 104.3 The Fan adding additional live programming

DENVER – Bonneville Denver announced “The Drive with Tom Nalen and DMac” will now air from 3 to 7 p.m. weekdays on Sports Radio 104.3 The Fan, effective immediately. In conjunction with the move, the station has agreed on a contract extension with Darren “DMac” McKee.

McKee has been a host on Sports Radio 104.3 The Fan since 2008, including nearly a decade in afternoon drive. Anchored by McKee, “The Drive” has consistently been rated as Denver’s most listened to afternoon program in key demographics, a trend that has continued with his new partner Tom Nalen.

“DMac has become a staple in the Denver community as fans have grown accustomed to listening to him on their way home for years,” said Sports Radio 104.3 The Fan program director Raj Sharan. “We’ve been ecstatic with the overwhelmingly positive response to his first few months working with Tommy (Nalen) and are very excited to give Broncos Country another live and local hour of ‘The Drive’ every weekday.”

McKee has spent the last 20 years on radio in the Denver market, previously working for KBPI-FM, KOA-AM, KHOW-AM, and KKZN-AM. His 30-year radio career also includes time as program director for KDZA-FM in Colorado Springs and on-air talent with WARW-FM in Washington, D.C.; WGRF-FM and WEGD-FM in Buffalo, New York; and KIX-FM in Syracuse, New York.

“I’m thrilled to continue my career at home with The Fan and continue working with Tommy,” McKee said. “I remain humbled and overwhelmed at our success and extending the show an hour is a fantastic opportunity to make it even more than it already is. I couldn’t be happier.”

Sports Radio 104.3 The Fan also announced that Sandy Clough will extend his weekday show, now broadcasting from 9 p.m. to midnight on weekdays.

“There is no better postgame host in the history of Denver sports than the legendary Sandy Clough,” Sharan said. “Allowing Sandy additional time to provide his unbiased and unaffiliated analysis gives us a tremendous advantage following Rockies, Avalanche and Nuggets games.”

Clough has served as an on-air talent with Sports Radio 104.3 The Fan since 1997. He’s been in the Denver market since 1979, starting as a host on KOA-AM’s Broncos Radio Network, where he remained until 1990. Clough then hosted for KYBG-AM until 1996. He will continue in his role as Sports Radio 104.3 The Fan’s postgame host following all Broncos games.
