Is Broncos head coach Vance Joseph coaching for his job on Thursday?

Oct 15, 2018, 8:51 PM

The Super Bowl technically doesn’t return to the Arizona desert until 2023, but for the Denver Broncos, according to “The Drive” co-host DMac, Thursday on the road against the Cardinals is the biggest game of the season.

“This is it. This is the season. Do you want the playoffs? Do you want the Super Bowl? Do you want it? It’s this Thursday,” DMac said on Monday. “It’s now or never. This team’s Super Bowl is this Thursday.”

The Cardinals ranks among the very bottom in the league in terms of offensive output, scoring just 82 points and gaining only 1,323 yards through six games this season.

But the significance of Thursday’s matchup isn’t because it’s a game the Broncos most likely should win but rather one the coaching staff needs to win to keep their jobs, DMac said.

“This is the last game for Vance Joseph and crew if they lose to the Cardinals, who I looked at today. I can’t believe how bad this team is offensively,” DMac said. “This is, by far, the worst team in the NFL offensively.”

Earlier Monday, “Stokley and Zach” co-host Brandon Stokley championed a similar argument, saying that Broncos head coach Vance Joseph’s job is on the line Thursday.

“if they can’t beat the Arizona Cardinals, who are they going to beat?” Stokley said. He later added: “I think if you lose, you have to move on from Vance Joseph.”
