Game notes

• The Denver Broncos have surrendered only one home loss to the New York Giants (1989) and hold a 4-1 all-time record at home against their NFC opponents (6-5 overall in the series).

• At home, following a bye week, the Broncos have a 15-4 record all time (21-7 overall).

• Since 2011, Denver’s played in 19 primetime games, the most in the NFL during that timespan, garnering a 15-3 record in the previous 18 matchups.

• Broncos head coach Vance Joseph coached alongside Giants head coach Ben McAdoo with the San Francisco 49ers in 2005.

• A pair of former Broncos reside on the Giants roster — wide receiver Brandon Marshall and cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie — though neither will see the field Sunday, with Marshall being placed on injured reserve this week and Rodgers-Cromartie suspended.

• Denver can earn a sixth-straight win over an NFC East opponent with a victory Sunday. Also, each of the previous five games the Broncos have scored 41 or more points.

• Jamaal Charles needs 87 yards to become the 11th active player to reach the 10,000-yard mark.

• With a sack, Von Miller can become the first Broncos player to have at least five sacks in each of his first seven seasons. With 1 1/2 sacks, Miller would tie Karl Mecklenburg for second place on the club’s all-time list.

• A pick-six would net Aqib Talib a tie with Darren Sharper and Charles Woodson for the second-most career interceptions for a touchdown.

• Demaryius Thomas needs 49 receiving yards to reach 8,000 for his career, which would make him the seventh active player to reach the mark.
