J.K. Dobbins is already beaming about Broncos Country and Denver

The Denver Broncos waited until June to sign talented running back J.K. Dobbins.

And even though that’s fairly late in NFL free agency, the decision thus far is aging like fine wine.

Dobbins has brought the Broncos running game to life, becoming the first back to eclipse 100 yards in a game during the Sean Payton era. He went for 101 yards on just 16 carries against the Cincinnati Bengals on Monday Night Football.

However, it’s not like that was his only good outing this year.

J.K. Dobbins is currently fifth in the NFL with 323 rushing yards. He also has three touchdowns and is averaging a robust 5.7 yards per carry.

Even though he inked a one-year contract worth only a little more than $2 million, Broncos Country is hoping to see him excel this season and beyond. It sounds like that feeling is mutual.

Dobbins joined CBS Colorado’s Romi Bean on “Xfinity on Monday Live!” earlier this week (a special Tuesday edition) and is already beaming about the city and the fanbase.

“It’s a match made in heaven,” J.K. Dobbins told Bean. “It’s my favorite place. And I just fit, I feel like I fit. I’m a horse, the Broncos, I feel like I’m a horse.”

He’s been a workhorse for Denver so far, and right now, fans want to see Payton give Dobbins the ball even more.

They also might like for GM George Paton to already be thinking about a contract extension, keeping the 26-year-old in Denver beyond this season.

J.K. Dobbins is also quickly becoming one of the best interviews on the Broncos, whether he’s speaking English or Spanish.
