Watch: Russell Wilson is retiring! He will DEFINITELY be remembered in Denver... | 55 seconds
Former Denver Broncos QB Russell Wilson might not be on a television set for long.
Wilson retired from the NFL last summer and then immediately took a job with CBS on their pregame show. He’s actually done a nice job, but football could already be calling again.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter dropped this report on Tuesday night — Wilson might soon be the head coach at North Carolina State University.
Sources: former Super Bowl champion QB Russell Wilson interviewed today for the head coaching job at North Carolina State, where he played three seasons.

As Schefter notes, Wilson played three years of his college career at NC State and then finished at Wisconsin.
He was a third-round pick by the Seahawks in the 2012 NFL Draft, where he spent 10 seasons before the blockbuster trade to the Broncos ahead of the 2022 campaign.
It never worked in Denver, Wilson was saddled with Nathaniel Hackett then didn’t get along with Sean Payton, but it’s no secret he has a great football mind. He was a Super Bowl champion in Seattle and is a borderline Hall of Famer one day.
Regardless of the feelings Broncos Country has for Wilson, this would be a huge hire for NC State. Plus, Philip Rivers is a candidate, a guy who also had a tremendous NFL career.
We’ll see if either Wilson or Rivers who get the job. But if it’s Wilson you know Broncos fans will keep an eye on the Wolfpack to see how they perform with Mr. Unlimited leading the squad.
Stay tuned.
