Denver Broncos rookie cornerback Jahdae Barron had four tackles against the Kansas City Chiefs last Sunday, matching his season high.

The Broncos defense was excellent (once again) in Denver’s 22-19 win that propelled them to a 9-2 record. The team is sitting atop the AFC West, riding an eight-game winning streak and rightfully feeling themselves.

Jahdae Barron posted a series of photos on Instagram, something that’s common for players to do. He captioned it with a checkered flag, meaning the Broncos were the winners.

One of the photos was Barron and Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce. The football was on the ground after Barron clearly made a play to cause an incompletion.

But it’s what Barron added to his Instagram story afterwards, with the same photo, that sent social media into a frenzy. You may have to open the tweet below to see the full caption.

“Tell swift put me on a song, RIGHT NOW,” Jahdae Barron wrote.

He’s almost assuredly talking about Kelce’s fiancée, global music superstar Taylor Swift. Kelce is no longer just football famous, he’s known around the world as the man who’s about to marry Swift.

It’s all in good fun, as Jahdae Barron is soaking up his moment. But Swift has a legion of fans who defend her every move, and some of the replies on that tweet aren’t exactly friendly. Plus, Kelce had a solid game catching nine passes for 91 yards and a touchdown.

Regardless, even bringing up the name Taylor Swift on social media is going to garner a lot of attention. Jahdae Barron looks like he knew exactly what he was doing — and is going to have a good time with it after a massive Broncos victory.
