Denver Broncos 2026 NFL free agency tracker
The Denver Broncos have over $40 million in cap space with which to attack free agency, and began making moves with two re-signings the night before the legal-tampering period began.

It’s that time of year again: the start of a new league year in the NFL, and with it the opening of free agency.
This year, the Broncos head into the race unshackled from the boulder of Russell Wilson’s contract, which consumed $53 million of space as dead money in 2024 and $32 million last year. As of March 8, Denver had less dead money on its books than all but two teams.
While much of the team’s work was done last year with the re-signings of Courtland Sutton, Zach Allen, Nik Bonitto and Malcolm Roach, it has some items on its shopping list.

March 19: Broncos get on the board, add ex-Bengals safety and special-teamer
Denver added Tycen Anderson, a safety who was a core special-teamer for Cincinnati the last three seasons.
March 13: Broncos running it back with Jaleel McLaughlin
Yet another player is returning to the Broncos as Denver’s running back room will look very similar to 2025.
March 12: Broncos bringing back Lil’Jordan Humphrey
A favorite of head coach Sean Payton, wide receiver Lil’Jordan Humphrey is returning to Denver in 2026.
March 11: Adam Prentice returning on one-year deal
After seizing the fullback role last season following Michael Burton’s injury, Prentice will be back for another go-’round.
March 11: Broncos bring back Henningsen, Krull
The team re-signed a pair of players to whom they declined to give restricted free-agent tenders.
March 10: Broncos safety P.J. Locke heads to Dallas
P.J. Locke will get a chance to start with the Cowboys, agreeing to a one-year deal worth a reported $5 million.
March 9: Broncos part ways with Dre Greenlaw
After a year defined by injuries and a suspension, the Broncos moved on from one of their big free-agent pickups of 2025.
March 9: Alex Singleton agrees to a new deal with Broncos
One of the Broncos’ team captains will stick around for another two years after agreeing on a new contract.
March 9: John Franklin-Myers secures the bag with Titans
JFM’s two big years with the Broncos earned him a major payday with the Titans and a reunion with his old coach, Robert Saleh.
March 9: Broncos running it back with J.K. Dobbins
Their leading rusher from will return on a two-year deal.
March 8: Sam Ehlinger coming back for another year
The Broncos’ No. 3 quarterback agreed on a one-year, $2-million extension.
March 8: Nate Adkins agrees on one-year deal
Denver agreed on a one-year deal to keep the versatile tight end from becoming a restricted free agent.
March 8: Adam Trautman will remain a Bronco
Adam Trautman, the team’s leader in snaps played by a tight end in each of the last three seasons, agreed to a three-year extension.
March 8: Justin Strnad elects to stick around
Inside linebacker Justin Strnad will stay in Denver after emerging as a dynamic playmaker on defense last season.
