Broncos will be back in blue pants when they face Cardinals

PHOENIX — The Cardinals are red;
The Broncos have blue;
When they’re done on Sunday;
Denver could be five and two.

It’s not much in the way of poetry, but for the Broncos, they’ll go with a nice contrast to the Cardinals’ nearly-all-red look by wearing blue pants with their white jerseys. Denver will also wear blue socks, per the team’s social-media announcement Saturday morning.

Overall, this will mark the eighth time since the uniform-closet overhaul of 2024 that the Broncos have worn blue pants with their white jerseys.

And specific for the blue pants/blue socks look with white jerseys and blue helmets, this will be the Broncos’ fourth game in this ensemble. They’re 2-1 when wearing it — which includes a 2-0 mark on the road, defeating Philadelphia last year and Las Vegas in 2024 in the look.

The first time they wore white jerseys, blue socks and blue pants with their blue helmets, the Broncos fell 13-6 to Pittsburgh in the 2024 home opener, which was also Bo Nix’s first home regular-season start.
