ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — Broncos cornerback Pat Surtain II and running back Jonah Coleman practiced once again, but three other players remained sidelined as the team continued its on-field preparations for Sunday’s game against the Arizona Cardinals.
Surtain returned Wednesday following a two-game absence due to the ankle injury he suffered Oct. 4 against the San Francisco 49ers. He was listed with limited participation in Wednesday’s session.
Coleman was officially designated for return from injured reserve on Wednesday and had a full practice that day.
BRONCOS STILL WITHOUT THREE PLAYERS
Running back Tyler Badie (thumb), edge rusher Jonah Elliss (ankle) and safety Talanoa Hufanga (ankle) did not participate in the Broncos’ practice Thursday.
With Hufanga still sidelined, all signs could project to Taylor Rapp once again playing an extensive role as he did last week against Seattle. Devon Key started that game, but Rapp played 65 of the 85 defensive snaps after being elevated from the practice squad.
It was Rapp’s first game action since he suffered a knee injury last year that necessitated two subsequent surgeries.
“It felt great to get my feet wet,” Rapp said. “I guess I wasn’t expecting to get so many snaps, but it was great to be out there.
“It’s been a really long year for me. It’s been almost exactly one year since I played an NFL game. And so, just being out there, man, it was definitely fun.”
