The Colorado Avalanche are an intense and focused group.

That was apparent during their marvelous Stanley Cup run this past summer. Each time the team faced the slightest bit of adversity, they responded. The Avs didn’t lose two games in a row the entire postseason, finishing with a sparkling 16-4 record.

But the guys can also turn it off and have some fun. That was evidenced on Friday when the team brought a whole bunch of adorable puppies to their practice rink. The dogs are up for adoption, and it looks like some of the players may want to take one home for themselves.

Almost all of the big names on the Avs are featured in the video and photos, including Nathan MacKinnon, Cale Makar, Gabriel Landeskog and Devon Toews. Check it out.

That is just fantastic. And what would be even more fantastic is these puppies finding a good home. As the team mentioned, they’re available through MAMCO Rescue for adoption. You can check out their website here.
