Broncos still best spot for Rodgers, says ESPN’s Orlovsky

Should the Green Bay Packers eventually trade reigning MVP Aaron Rodgers, the destination that still makes the most sense is Denver, says ESPN NFL and college football analyst Dan Orlovsky.

Joining the “Rich Eisen Show” on Monday, Orlovsky argued that Rodgers might need to find a way to patch things up with the Packers if the only possible trade destinations are non-contenders.

But if the Broncos decided to “sell the farm” for Rodgers, Orlovsky said, “Aaron’s not going back.”

“That is a team that if Aaron Rodgers goes to them, the Chiefs in the AFC are concerned, and they are, no question, bona fide Super Bowl contenders,” Orlovsky said.

Orlovsky estimated that it may take three to four first-round draft picks to pry Rodgers free from the Packers, but he said he believes the Broncos will be “very aggressive” in their effort to land the future Hall of Fame quarterback.

“Candidly, Green Bay, I’ve said this, should entertain it. You started this clock a year ago. You were expecting for this to happen,” Orlovsky said. “So, I think the Broncos will (be aggressive).”
