On March 25, Rivers was acquired Oklahoma City Thunder from the New York Knicks in a three-team trade and then waived three days later.
Since Rivers was not on an NBA roster beyond April 9, reports the Denver Post’s Mike Singer, he is eligible to play in the postseason for the Nuggets.
In 21 games for the Knicks this season, Rivers averaged 7.3 points, 2.0 assists and 2.2 rebounds in 21.0 minutes per game.
During his nine-year NBA career, Rivers has averaged 24.4 minutes a night, compiling 9.1 points, 2.3 assists and 2.1 rebounds per game.
