Broncos reach agreement with RB Michael Boone

The Denver Broncos reached a two-year agreement with running back Michael Boone according to Broncos Insider Mike Klis.

Boone will reportedly receive $2.6 million guaranteed, including a $1.6 million signing bonus.
According to Klis, the move adds depth to the running back room and strengthens the Broncos’ special teams unit with the future of Phillip Lindsay up in the air.
Boone was a non-tendered restricted free agent as the Vikings apparently balked at the $2.133 million low-tender salary.
Confirming Broncos have signed RB Mike Boone to a two-year deal, per a source. He has played at least 221 special teams snaps in each of the last two years. Denver needed offensive player who could fit that role.

Boone showed flashes in 2019 against the Chicago Bears where he rushed for 148 yards and a touchdown on 17 carries.
The new running back will play special teams but will also have a shot at the No. 2 spot behind Melvin Gordon.
