Could players courting Deshaun Watson affect Broncos team chemistry?

The 2020 season may have concluded Sunday, but the action never really ends in the NFL. Bring on the 2021 offseason and the great storylines involving the league’s quarterback market.
Will the Denver Broncos make a trade for Deshaun Watson or Carson Wentz? Will they draft a QB? Is Drew Lock the guy?
Many questions linger, but perhaps the most pressing is if the Broncos can’t or don’t land Watson, how does Kareem Jackson and Jerry Jeudy openly courting the disgruntled Houston Texans quarterback affect Lock in 2021?
Lock was underwhelming in 2020. He was inaccurate, he led the NFL in interceptions, and he had trouble staying healthy. It went about as bad as it could have gone for Lock this past season.
Though Lock’s first year as the Broncos starter was a disappointment, it is not out of the ordinary for a quarterback to struggle in such a situation, especially given the weird circumstances of the 2020 season.
With that said, what does Jackson and Jeudy’s open support of bringing Watson to Denver say about their belief in Lock? Do they believe Watson’s an upgrade, or do they want anyone but Lock at QB?
How much damage could this do to the locker room if the Broncos don’t land Watson? How can an offense function when the QB knows half his teammates wanted him out?
A quarterback cannot lead a team when the team does not believe in him.
Obviously, Lock needs to be better. But his teammates courting another QB can only do harm.
It is not their choice to make, and with chances of acquiring a player like Watson slim, there’s little to no benefit for current Broncos players to clamor for him on social media.
Denver getting Watson would be a massive upgrade, but that is a move for the Broncos front office to make.
If they can get Watson to come to Denver, that’s great. But Jackson tweeting about him should have nothing to do with it.
The Broncos need to be better at QB, but current players courting Watson does nothing but hurt the team.
