Mike Pritchard: Big 3 Broncos breakdown – vs. Cardinals

1. The rookie faired well

Third string quarterback Kyle Sloter played well enough to make the Broncos 53-man roster. He makes me curious about how good he could become.

After the game, however, head coach Vance Joseph said, “Our depth chart has not changed at the quarterback position.”

2. Broncos defense still dominates

Denver’s defense continues to impress. It doesn’t matter if it’s the first unit, the second unit, or the third unit, a championship mindset on that side of the ball is evident.

3. Specialists need a tune up

Special team units still need work. Yes, units — all of them — need to improve in order to help the club win games this year.
