As the injuries pile up for the Broncos, it’s time to start looking for a silver lining of two. At this point, any bit of positive news should be embraced.
Monday served as a prime example. It was good news / bad news for Mike Purcell.
NT Mike Purcell did have surgery on his thumb per source. He has been casted. Incredibly, there is some chance he can play this week vs. Washington.

Yes, the nose tackle had thumb surgery. That’s the bad news.
But there’s a chance he’ll play on Sunday, less than a week after the operation. That’s the good news.
At this point, the Broncos will take it.
