Denver Broncos linebacker Dre Greenlaw practiced all three days this week.

That’s the good news, as Greenlaw was finally back on the field for a chunk of time after a quad injury plagued him most of the spring and summer. It landed Greenlaw on IR earlier this year, but the Broncos opened his 21-day window to return this season on Wednesday.

The bad news is there’s no guarantee Greenlaw makes his Denver debut against the New York Giants this weekend.

The Broncos dropped their final injury report on Friday afternoon, and Greenlaw is officially listed as questionable. He was “limited” in the first two practices he took part in and then “full” in the last.

Head coach Sean Payton wasn’t in a very chatty mood about Dre Greenlaw, but did offer a quick thought on whether or not he had a good week of practice.

“Yeah, positive. You know, he was able to go and move around, so yeah,” Payton said.

On Thursday, Broncos defensive coordinator Vance Joseph was a little more forthright, although he said if Greenlaw takes snaps against the Giants it could be in a “part-time” role.

Multiple reports say that Denver will make a decision on Greenlaw’s availability on Saturday, so this situation is still fluid.

Regardless of whether Greenlaw plays on Sunday against the Giants or the following one versus the Cowboys, it’ll be good to have him out there.
