Bo Nix says Broncos will play in ‘bigger games,’ but knows Denver and L.A. is a huge one

Denver Broncos QB Bo Nix has played in some huge games in his football career.

Sunday Night Football against the Los Angeles Rams might be one of the biggest.

In what could be a Super Bowl preview at Empower Field at Mile High, the Broncos and Rams will do battle in front of millions and millions of people watching on television.

After Denver wrapped up practice on Wednesday, Nix was asked about what he thinks it’ll be like taking on a loaded L.A. squad under the lights.

“It’s great. I think primetime games in general are awesome. Night time games at our stadium are awesome, we have a great electric atmosphere,” Bo Nix said.

The Broncos will need their fans to show up in a big way, hopefully making it too loud for the Rams to communicate on defense, especially with future Hall of Famer Aaron Donald back in the mix. For Nix, these are the kinds of opportunities he’s dreamt about his entire life.

“It’s just always fun when you grow up, you watch these primetime games. It’s usually when everybody’s watching, all the TVs are on and you just know it’s a big deal. You know it’s a big game, you know two good teams are playing against each other,” Nix said.

Both squads are 1-1, but fluky Week 1 losses in the NFL happen. The Broncos were pounded by the Chiefs and the Rams went all the way to Australia to get blasted by the 49ers. However, if things break right, L.A. and Denver could square off again down the road.

“We say it all the time we know we’ll play in bigger games, but right now this is the next biggest one and we’ve gotta continue to have success in these so we can have success as an organization,” Bo Nix said. “We’re excited to be on primetime, that’s always a really good thing, that means you have something good going.”

A rematch in Los Angeles on Valentine’s Day, with the Lombardi Trophy at stake, would be great news for all involved.

But Bo Nix understands that Week 3 is next on the task list — and a huge win over the Rams could go a long ways toward Denver achieving its ultimate goal.
