Denver Nuggets star Jamal Murray has hit some huge shots against Anthony Davis over the years.

And even though Davis no longer plays for the Lakers, clearly what happened in the 2023 Western Conference Finals and the following year in the playoffs are both still on his mind.

Davis targeted Murray in a new episode of his show “Foul Play,” in which he pranks athletes with hilarious hidden-camera setups. It’s a modern version of “Punk’d” which was massively popular about 20 years ago.

Jamal Murray thought he was having a nice dinner with his friend and manager in Los Angeles, but things quickly went sideways thanks to Davis and a team of actors.

Check it out:

The whole skit is phenomenal. From the “super-fan” bothering Murray, to the “federal agent with the EPA” and a “chef” seemingly throwing Murray under the bus, it is wonky.

Murray even gets told he could serve jail time for unknowingly eating an endangered species. And no, Murray didn’t actually consume mountain lion, although he was worried the mystery meat might’ve been human. It was steak.

Eventually, Davis steps in and does the big reveal, once the situation gets even more hilariously out of control with the fan declaring himself Murray’s lawyer.

By the end of the video, Jamal Murray is a great sport and relieved the whole thing was a prank. He and Davis both played their college basketball at Kentucky and seem to have a great friendship off the court — even if they’ve had intense moments on it.

It’s well played all around and sure to come up when the Nuggets face the Wizards, the current team of Davis, in January and March.
