Broncos practice with all players on the field, including Jaylen Waddle

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — Wide receiver Jaylen Waddle was on the field with teammates when the Broncos began their first practice of the week in advance of Sunday afternoon’s game against the San Francisco 49ers.

Waddle had been seen by fans leaving Empower Field at Mile High on Sunday night with a walking boot on his right foot. But he played throughout the game, and according to a report from The Denver Post on Tuesday, was “fine.”

The Broncos’ spotlight offseason acquisition leads the team in targets (20), receptions (11) and receiving yards (150). Nearly all of his yardage so far this season — 138 — came in the Broncos’ Week 2 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars; he had two yards in Week 1 and 10 on two receptions in Week 3.

Wide receiver Marvin Mims Jr. was also on the field when practice began. He saw limited practice work last week and was inactive for a second-straight game last Sunday, leaving practice-squad wide receiver Kolbe Katsis to handle punt returns. Katsis averaged 13.0 yards on three punt returns and 26.8 yards on four kickoff returns last Sunday.
