Broncos-Rams inactives: Mims out for second-straight game

DENVER — The Broncos will have to make do without wide receiver/returner Marvin Mims Jr. for a second-consecutive week.

Denver deactivated the fourth-year veteran, who continues to deal with a foot injury he initially suffered in the Broncos’ Aug. 28 preseason finale against the Minnesota Vikings.

Mims practiced on a limited basis throughout this past week, leading the Broncos to list him as questionable.

While Mims is down, practice-squad wide receiver Kolbe Katsis is active for the first time as a professional. The Broncos elevated him from the practice squad Saturday.

Katsis will be the No. 5 wide receiver, as the team deactivated Lil’Jordan Humphrey, who played for the Broncos last week.

Also active for the game is defensive lineman Jordan Jackson. It will be his first regular-season game this season. Second-year defensive lineman Sai’vion Jones was active for Weeks 1 and 2, but will be inactive against the Los Angeles Rams.
