Kansas City Chiefs defensive lineman Chris Jones is a menace.

Perhaps, the Denver Broncos won’t have to deal with him on Monday Night Football.

Jones popped up on Kansas City’s injury report on Friday, limited at practice with a calf injury. He didn’t appear on Thursday’s initial list of injuries — so this is new.

Chris Jones has been selected to the Pro Bowl seven times in his outstanding career and has been a First-Team All-Pro three times. He has 87.5 sacks over 10 NFL seasons to go along with 13 forced fumbles and 339 tackles.

Very little information is available about the calf injury to Jones, so this is worth checking back on Saturday. That’s when the final injury report for the Broncos and Chiefs will come out and we’ll see if Jones has a game designation.

Obviously, Denver wants to beat Kansas City at its best. But if Chris Jones can’t go or is limited, that’s a break for the Broncos offensive line and QB Bo Nix. The more time Nix has to pick apart the Chiefs defense, the better.

Meanwhile, Denver remains extremely healthy. Only Marvin Mims Jr. (foot) showed up on the injury report for a second straight day and he was estimated as a full participant.
