All Broncos on the 53-player roster practice Wednesday

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — As was the case on Monday, all players on the 53-player roster and practice squad were present and participating as the Broncos opened their Wednesday practice.

But perhaps the most notable sight wasn’t who was or was not on the field, but what the players were wearing.

Denver donned white helmets for the session, a sign that they will break out their white helmets for Monday night’s game in Kansas City. Last year, they wore white helmets in the previous week’s practices before playing Jacksonville and then didn’t wear the white helmets until the following week’s game against the Chiefs, but that had to do with the game at Arrowhead Stadium being on a Thursday night, thus limiting their chances to break in the headgear.

BRONCOS HAVEN’T LOST IN THE CURRENT WHITE HELMETS

Denver is undefeated in white helmets with the horse-head logo adorning both sides, having gone 2-0 in them over the last two seasons.

In 2023, the team wore white helmets with the throwback “D” logo for a pair of home games against the New York Jets and New England Patriots, losing both. But fortunes have been much better with the current primary logo on the white helmets.

The Broncos debuted that specific helmet/logo combination against the Cleveland Browns in 2024 with blue jerseys, pants and socks. They brought them back last Christmas at Kansas City as part of an all-white look from helmets to socks, marking the first time in club history they’d worn an ensemble of white helmets, jerseys, pants and socks.

Given that the team earned its first win at Arrowhead Stadium in 10 years by wearing head to toe, it would come as no surprise if the Broncos emerged Monday night donning the “Star Wars” stormtrooper look once again.
