Report: John Elway will be a guest on ‘ManningCast’ for Broncos and Chiefs

Two Denver Broncos legends will join forces during Monday Night Football, with John Elway and Peyton Manning sharing the screen.

Of course, Eli Manning will be there as well.

According to Troy Renck of The Denver Post, John Elway will make his debut appearance on the “ManningCast” during the Broncos and Chiefs Week 1 game.

The ManningCast enters its sixth year, with Peyton and Eli launching the project at the start of the 2021 NFL season. The brothers watch Monday Night Football together, have a couple of guests on, commentate on the game and conduct interviews.

It airs on ESPN2, while the traditional broadcast with Joe Buck and Troy Aikman airs on ESPN and sometimes ABC. Denver and Kansas City will be on both channels.

While many in Broncos Country probably want the “normal” experience of watching the showdown, the ManningCast is always fun. And adding John Elway to the mix is going to make a lot of people flip over when he hops on.

The Hall of Fame QB is the best player in team history, winning two Super Bowls and providing unforgettable moments during an incredible 16-year career.

He also helped sign Peyton during the 2012 offseason, leading to one of the best stretches in Broncos history.

It finished with Peyton and an all-time Denver defense capturing Super Bowl 50 and “The Sheriff” riding off into the sunset a champion — just like Elway did nearly two decades before.

Elway doesn’t have an official role with the Broncos these days, focusing on spending more time with his kids and grandkids. A Netflix documentary recently highlighted that as well as taking viewers through his football journey.

It’ll be great television watching Elway, Peyton and Eli chop it up — a trio that has six Lombardi Trophies combined.

As the Broncos hunt their fourth Super Bowl in franchise history, there are sure to be a couple of clips that go viral with John Elway talking about the current team.

It’ll make a big Monday Night Football game feel even bigger.
