Bo Nix snubbed on ESPN’s list of top-100 players for 2026, completely left off

The disrespect for Denver Broncos QB Bo Nix continues.

When ESPN’s quarterback rankings came out earlier this summer, Nix wasn’t close to the top-10. Those were voted on by folks around the NFL — so it should be a chip on Nix’s shoulder.

At least 17 quarterbacks were voted in front of Nix, who’s guided the Broncos to the playoffs in each of his first two seasons.

And when ESPN released its projected top-100 players of the 2026 season on Tuesday morning, Bo Nix was nowhere to be found. This was voted on by 12 analysts and reporters from the network.

“The rankings are based on predicting potential greatness rather than past performance. We used those 12 sets of votes to come up with our consensus list,” ESPN wrote as an explanation for the list.

Of course, the usual suspects from the 2024 NFL Draft did make it. Bears QB Caleb Williams was No. 62, Commanders QB Jayden Daniels was No. 61 and Patriots QB Drake Maye was No. 30.

Bo Nix has more wins, touchdowns and yards than Williams, Daniels and Maye. His 24 victories through two seasons completely blow the other three out of the water. As do his 63 total TDs, which are 11 more than the next closest in Maye.

It hasn’t made sense for months and continues to not make sense. Nix has been consistent in his first two years while the other three have had one solid campaign and a bad one.

Also, Bo Nix is completely healthy after two offseason ankle surgeries and proved that during the preseason. He’s ready to go Week 1 in Arrowhead against the Chiefs, so hopefully injury concerns weren’t the reason for this snub.

The good news is the Broncos had five guys make ESPN’s top-100 list. Zach Allen (No. 79), Nik Bonitto (No. 56), Quinn Meinerz (No. 53), Garett Bolles (No. 37) and Pat Surtain II (No. 7) all impressed the panel.

Meinerz didn’t make the NFL Top 100, as voted on by players, so it’s nice to see him acknlowedged here. Wide receiver Courtland Sutton joined Nix in being on the NFL Top 100, but not making ESPN’s version of the same exercise.

At this point, it feels like Bo Nix has to win the Super Bowl to get the respect he deserves. Even guiding the Broncos to the AFC Title Game last season didn’t register with the voters. 16 QBs in all made it — Nix was not one of them.
