Bo Nix snubbed on ESPN’s poll of top-10 QBs, barely gets votes

Denver Broncos QB Bo Nix has helped revive the franchise.

His rookie season the Broncos went 10-7 and made the playoffs for the first time since Super Bowl 50.

This past year Denver was 14-3 as Nix and the defense guided the team all the way to the AFC Championship after earning the No. 1 seed.

The Broncos likely would’ve gone to the Super Bowl if Nix didn’t break his ankle in the divisional round against the Buffalo Bills.

Yet, the national media seems to be in love with others QBs from the 2024 NFL Draft a lot more than Nix. And unfortunately people in the league might view it that way as well.

ESPN revealed its list of the top-10 quarterbacks in the NFL on Monday morning and Bo Nix was snubbed.

The voting is done by league executives, coaches and scouts and Nix finished outside the top-10 and the “honorable mentions” category. That puts at least 17 QBs in front of him.

The top-5 wasn’t surprising with Josh Allen, Patrick Mahomes, Matthew Stafford, Joe Burrow and Lamar Jackson leading the way.

But that’s where it gets a bit confusing.

Dak Prescott is No. 6, Justin Herbert No. 7, Drake Maye No. 8, Jared Goff No. 9 and Caleb Williams is No.10. If those names ahead of Nix are making you scratch your head, we’re not done.

The honorable mentions who also received more votes than Nix are: Sam Darnold, Jayden Daniels, Jordan Love, Brock Purdy, Baker Mayfield, Trevor Lawrence and Jalen Hurts.

Bo Nix ultimately finished in the “also receiving votes” category with Daniel Jones and C.J. Stroud.

There’s a whole slew of issues with how the voters ranked the QBs, but even going back to the 2024 draft this is perplexing.

Williams and Maye both had poor rookie years and good second seasons and finished way higher than Nix. Daniels was great in his first year, but injured and mediocre in 2025 — he’s still ahead of Nix.

During their NFL careers thus far Bo Nix has more wins, touchdowns and yards than Williams, Daniels and Maye. His 24 victories through two seasons completely blow the other three out of the water. As do his 63 total TDs, which are 11 more than the next closest in Maye.

He’s the only one from the group to make the playoffs in both NFL campaigns they’ve all been on the field.

And that just scratches this surface, with guys like Prescott and Herbert comfortably ahead of Nix as well. The eye test for a lot of fans might say differently.

Ultimately, being the 18th, 19th or 20th ranked NFL QB should fuel Bo Nix. He’s already said he wants to win an MVP and a Super Bowl this year. But it also shows he’s still not getting the credit he deserves.
