Nikola Jokic continues amazing triple-double climb in Nuggets victory

He’s on his way to becoming one of the NBA’s all-time greats.
Heck, he might already be there.
Nuggets center Nikola Jokic passed the legendary Wilt Chamberlain on Thursday night for triple-doubles in an NBA career with 79. Jokic posted 15 points, 14 assists and 13 rebounds in Denver’s 122-110 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder. He’s now No. 6 all-time.

In typical Jokic fashion, he was modest and humble when talking about the accomplishment in a postgame interview.

The Nuggets moved to 5-3 on the season with the victory, and Jokic built on his legend. Passing Chamberlain is a big deal, even for the back-to-back MVP. The big man out of Serbia can do it all, with incredible court vision, amazing touch around the basket and the ability to rebound above the rim.
Jokic has a climb to reach LeBron James next on the triple-double list, with James still active and playing for the Lakers. That chase rolls on Saturday night at home against the Spurs.
