The NFL trade deadline is rapidly approaching.

And while the Broncos have been subject of rumor after rumor, involving players like Bradley Chubb, KJ Hamler and Dalton Risner, one name is picking up steam. At least, there’s a team out there who really wants to acquire him.

According to Ralph Vacchiano of FOX Sports, the Giants are particularly interested in trading for Denver wide receiver Jerry Jeudy. New York moved former first-round pick Kadarius Toney to the Chiefs earlier this week, so they have a void at the position.

Here’s part of what Vacchiano wrote in his story on Thursday:

The Giants have a particular interest in the 6-foot-1, 193-pound Jeudy, one league source said. Jeudy’s even something of a known commodity to them since he was a freshman at Alabama in 2017 when (Brian) Daboll was the offensive coordinator there.

Daboll is, of course, now New York’s head coach. With a 6-1 record out of the gate, the Giants are one of the best stories in the NFL. And Daboll is one of the favorites to win NFL Coach of the Year. He’s having the exact opposite type of season that first year head coach Nathaniel Hackett is having with the Broncos.

Meanwhile, in Denver, Jeudy’s had a disappointing 2.5 years. He’s caught just five touchdowns in his entire career and has had a number of injuries and drops. His attitude and effort have also been questioned at times. And ESPN’s Adam Schefter isn’t just going to put out there Jeudy is rumored in trade talks unless there’s truth to it.

We’ll see what Broncos GM George Paton decides to do in the next few days. A lot could depend on if Denver wins or loses on Sunday against the Jaguars in London before the Nov. 1 trade deadline.

Decisions, decisions for a team and a general manager that expected this season to go way differently than it has.
