The Denver Post once again hilariously uses the wrong photo on a story

That’s not the way they wanted it to look.

Twitter went nuts on Friday morning when The Denver Post tweeted a marijuana story, but accidentally used a link for a story about back-to-back MVP Nikola Jokic. The tweet has since been deleted, but the screenshot of the gaffe is pretty funny.

Nikola Jokic / Denver Post gaffe

Yikes! There’s Jokic, looking happy as can be in Sombor, Serbia with his MVP trophy, and The Post is discussing how marijuana products aren’t properly labeled. It’s an honest mistake, but still worth a chuckle.

And this isn’t the first time the newspaper has had a memorable goof. In 2018, ahead of Rockies opening day, they accidentally published a photo of Philadelphia’s Citizens Bank Park with the headline “The Ultimate Visitors Guide To Coors Field.” This one actually happened in a printed edition of the paper, and our own James Merilatt captured the blunder.

I get it. Everyone makes mistakes. But this latest one, while maybe not as bad as the 2018 one, is yet another reminder greedy hedge-funds should hire more qualified people, rather than just focusing on their bottom line.
