Apparently, Aaron Rodgers isn’t done feuding with Sean Payton

The ongoing war of words between the Broncos and Jets continued on Monday. The fallout from the comments Sean Payton made about Nathaniel Hackett’s coaching performance last year in Denver doesn’t seem to have an end.
Despite the fact that Payton voiced his regrets for saying what he did, Aaron Rodgers weighed in yesterday on the situation. New York’s quarterback had some pointed words about Denver’s head coach.
Payton tried to put an end to the matter after Monday’s practice. His response to Rodgers’ comments was short and sweet.
“No,” he said when asked if he had anything else to say on the matter. “We’re past it.”
The Broncos might be, but the Jets aren’t. Rodgers appeared on “Up & Adams” with Kay Adams on Monday and once against didn’t hold back.
"Sometimes you say something stupid and need to apologize.”@AaronRodgers12 says he has plenty more to say about Sean Payton’s comments.

Clearly, the Jets are still bothered by what happened. That could be a bad thing for the Broncos, if it provides bulletin-board material for the Week 5 matchup between the two teams. Or it could be a good thing, as Payton seems to be living rent-free in Rodgers’ head right now.
“I’ve still got a lot more to say,” the quarterback told Adams. “I don’t need to. I said what I said and I stand by everything I said.”
He wasn’t finished.
“There’s a way of handling things, and probably a way not to,” Rodgers added. “Sometimes, you say something really stupid that warrants and apology. Sometimes, you don’t apologize.”
Has Payton apologized?
“I haven’t heard from him,” Rodgers answered when asked.
He isn’t done talking about it, though.
“There’s more to say for a different time,” Rodgers added, cryptically suggesting that he’ll weigh in again.
Another day, another chapter in this drama. The soap opera should hit a zenith when the two teams play in Week 5.
