ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — Jerry Jeudy returned to practice Friday as the Broncos got in their final full-speed on-field work before facing the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday.

The third-year wide receiver saw his first practice reps since he suffered a sternum injury against Houston. Jeudy suffered the injury in the first quarter and did not return. Subsequent examinations revealed no serious damage, leaving him “day-to-day” as the week began.

Jeudy was on the field Thursday and in pads and a helmet, but worked off to the side. The Broncos listed him as a non-participant in practice.

Fellow Alabama product Pat Surtain II also practiced for a second consecutive day. Surtain returned to practice on a limited basis Thursday after injuring his shoulder against Houston.

The news was not as good for defensive end Dre’Mont Jones, who stretched with teammates at midday Friday but then went off to the side. Jones landed on the injury report late Thursday afternoon with a neck injury.
