Broncos WR depth Is REAL — Franklin and Bryant PROVE it! | Stokley and Evans with Mark Schlereth

Courtland Sutton took back-to-back veteran rest days and Jaylen Waddle left practice with muscle tightness — and instead of the Broncos offense falling apart, the young wide receivers stepped right in and made plays. Troy Franklin and Pat Bryant both got the bulk of the work with Bo Nix and the first-team offense, and they delivered.

Franklin, entering Year 3, had a 20-yard catch during team drills and is showing a level of comfort in Sean Payton's system that wasn't there before. He told reporters after practice: "It's my third year in it, so I'm comfortable. I don't really have to think anymore, so I can just go and play." Payton has praised Franklin's improved understanding of formations and the details of his different alignments. Last season, Franklin was Denver's second-leading receiver with 65 catches for 709 yards and 6 touchdowns.

Pat Bryant continues to be one of the biggest standouts of the entire training camp. Payton says Bryant has "some of the better hands in traffic" and the versatility to play both the X receiver spot and the slot. The second-year wideout has made splash plays every single day of camp, including a 50-yard touchdown catch from Nix and a 30-yard connection that sliced through coverage. His strong camp has some projecting him as Denver's WR3 ahead of Franklin and Marvin Mims.

On today's Stokley and Evans with Mark Schlereth on 104.3 The Fan, we break down how confident Broncos Country should feel about the depth behind Sutton and Waddle, who's winning the WR3 race, and whether this receiver room is the deepest in the NFL.
