On a beautiful Tuesday here in Denver, the show kicked off with the guys talking about golfing.

Big news from the NFL meetings as the chop block will be illegal beginning next season.  Stokley said this could be a game changer, as it will make the run game more difficult.  However, according to the chairman of the competition committee not ALL chop blocks will be illegal.

Sandy and Stokley talked more about rule changes.  We also heard from Coach Kubiak and his comments on Trevor Siemian.

The guys also discussed who the better team is: the team that took the field for Super Bowl 50 or the team as it is constructed as of today as the Broncos move through free agency and look to the draft.

Troy Renck joined the show from the NFL league meetings to give an update.  Sandy asked Troy what the new rule change on the chop block means.  Troy said they eliminated the block in most forms, but that it shouldn’t make too much of a dramatic impact on the Broncos.  Kubiak said in order for Sanchez to be a starter, he has to come in, compete, and do the things he needs to do with consistency.  Sanchez has barely left Dove Valley since he was traded to Denver.  He is working out, studying, and is all in trying to win the starting QB job.  Mark Sanchez’s high school coach said that since being acquired by the Broncos, it’s the happiest he’s been since the day he was drafted.  Listen to Troy’s interview HERE

Hour two began with Sandy and Stokley talking about Colin Kaepernick, and his former Coach, Jim Harbaugh.  Stokley believes that Colin Kaepernick will remain in San Francisco.

The show continued with the news coming down of Ty Lawson’s punishment for the two DUI’s he got last year, in which he received a year of supervised probation.  Sandy and Stokley talked about Ty Lawson’s decline, and how sad it is to watch as the guy has tremendous talent.

Steve Lavin, College Basketball analyst for Fox Sports was welcomed on the show to talk about the March Madness tournament.  Steve said that the tournament has been true to form so far.  Steve said it’s hard to pick his favorite Sweet Sixteen matchup, but does like North Carolina.  Oregon is also an intriguing team to keep an eye on.  Steve said the least likely of the number one seeds to make the Final Four would be Virginia.  Listen to Steve’s interview HERE.

Today’s third and final hour opened with Rockies talk as Opening Day is just 13 days away.

Drew Goodman of Root Sports joined the show to talk about the Rockies and MLB. Stokley asked Drew what his overall assessment of the starting pitchers is heading into the season as the spring training games are wrapping up.  Drew said he would be surprised if the Rockies won 90 games this season.

The guys continued the baseball conversation to keep hour three rolling.

Today’s show closed out with the guys taking a phone call continuing talk on the Rockies.
