Netflix releases the trailer for the new John Elway documentary

Legendary Denver Broncos quarterback John Elway is the subject of a new Netflix documentary.

And the trailer for it dropped on Thursday morning, giving fans a sneak peek of who will appear. Among those featured are Mike Shanahan, Gary Kubiak, Shannon Sharpe, the Elway family and of course John Elway himself.

It looks like it’ll be a journey throughout his entire football career culminating in two Super Bowl titles, but also the stress Elway felt to get over the top and hoist the Lombardi Trophy.

ELWAY premieres December 22.

“ELWAY” actually premiered last month in downtown Denver, complete with a red carpet and Q&A session with John Elway. That was an exclusive event that required a ticket, but now the whole world will get a chance to take in the film starting on Dec. 22.

While Broncos Country obviously fondly remembers all the good times with Elway, there were some bad and frustrating ones as well. It seems like the film explores that, while also looking at the pressure he put on himself and the city did too.

John Elway got his storybook ending as a player and also won a championship as the Broncos GM in 2015. Having a Netflix documentary about your life is a pretty cool accomplishment.

You can bet Broncos fans are excited to check it out in only 18 days.
