The Denver Broncos have taken a hit to their offense; Lucas Krull suffered a foot injury.
The backup tight end, who did not suit up for Week 4’s contest against Cincinnati, is waiting on the results of an MRI while the team mulls putting him on Injured Reserve, according to the Denver Post.
#Broncos TE Lucas Krull missed practice today with a foot injury — will be on injury report later and won’t make trip to Philadelphia/London, sources said. Had MRI yesterday, no results yet.
Team’s weighing whether to put him on short-term IR.

If Krull goes to IR, he would miss four weeks. But it seems Krull is already guaranteed to miss two weeks since the Broncos’ next two games are in Philadelphia then in London against the Jets. Meaning the team is going straight from the East Coast to Europe and since Krull won’t be on today’s Broncos flight, he’ll miss two games.
Krull played in the first three games with Nate Adkins, then Evan Engram missing games. Krull has two catches for 15 yards on the year.
Engram was brought in this offseason to help stabilize the position where Adam Trautman has been a mainstay. Sean Payton had struggled to get Engram involved so far and partly because of an injury the tight end suffered in his first game. Against the Bengals, Engram seemed to be more of a focal point for Bo Nix’s offense.
Krull, 27, is in his fourth year in the NFL and third with the Broncos. Last year, he had 19 catches for 152 yards.
Update 3:30 p.m.:
Krull is going on short-term injured reserve. He cracked a bone in his foot during Thursday’s practice. Mike Kils reports that linebacker Garett Wallow is a good candidate to get the spot on the 53-man roster.
