Former Denver Broncos head coach Gary Kubiak won a Super Bowl in his first season leading the team.

Let’s hope Nathaniel Hackett can do the same.

In a cool moment at OTAs on Thursday afternoon, Hackett and Kubiak shared a moment saying hello. Kubiak, who’s now retired entirely from football, visited the Broncos at practice.

Video of the moment was captured by the team’s social media folks:

Kubiak actually has three Super Bowl rings with Denver. He was the offensive coordinator when the Broncos won their first two championships in the late 90s and was the head coaching during the Super Bowl season in 2015. He might not carry the same aura of Mike Shanahan in Colorado, but he’s still a Broncos legend.

Kubiak also posed for some photos, including with new QB Russell Wilson.

Can Hackett win a Super Bowl this year in Denver? The odds say no, but with an experienced quarterback like Wilson, you never know. He certainly has a lot better chance than Kubiak’s replacements did in Vance Joseph and Vic Fangio.

Let’s hope Kubiak passed on some of that championship magic during the fun but rather brief encounter.
