Another day, another injury for the Denver Broncos.
After a laundry list of defensive players were hit with the injury bug throughout the first three weeks of training camp, the offense took a hit on Thursday, as left tackle Garett Bolles left the field early and seemed to be in a great deal of pain. He got in an ambulance, but did not leave the premises.
Saw Garett Bolles struggling on the sideline with a couple of trainers. Looked to be uncomfortable and in significant pain. He’s since gotten in an ambulance, but it’s still at the facility.

Roughly a half hour later, he was seen exiting the ambulance as he walked back into the training facility under his own power.
After practice, Payton didn’t have any concerns about his left tackle.
“He’s gonna be fine, he had some asthma, some breathing, so we just pulled him out, so he’ll be okay,” Payton said.
This injury came on the same day that saw star edge rusher Nik Bonitto miss a third straight practice due to a foot injury he suffered in the Broncos’ first preseason game against the San Francisco 49ers on Saturday. Linebackers Drew Sanders, Alex Singleton and Dre Greenlaw have all dealt with some kind of injury throughout camp.
Matt Peart, who the Broncos re-signed to a two-year contract back in March, replaced Bolles on the first-team offense. A six-year veteran, Peart started twice last season — once as a sixth offensive lineman and another time in place of left tackle Garett Bolles. Peart also started seven games in his four seasons (2020-23) with the New York Giants.
Bolles is the Broncos’ longest tenured player who has seen the worst of the worst since the team climbed the mountaintop back when they won Super Bowl 50. After plenty of dark years with the team, he is now one of the most important pieces of an offensive line unit that dominated the NFL last year and is set to return all five players for a second straight year.
