A big-time national media member picks the Broncos to win AFC West

The Denver Broncos are getting a lot of buzz entering the 2025 season.

Some of that, admittedly, is being generated by head coach Sean Payton.

He’s the one telling everyone how great QB Bo Nix is going to be and that the Super Bowl is a realistic goal for the Broncos this year.

But there’s also been a slew of national media members who have made it out to training camp, and seemingly everyone walks away impressed.

The latest person to jump on the Denver train is Colin Cowherd, one of the most popular sports radio and television hosts in the country. Cowherd came out with his final playoff predictions for the 2025 NFL season and he has the Broncos winning the AFC West.

Cowherd’s original prediction had them third in the division, but he’s elevating Denver above both Kansas City and Los Angeles. His full explanation starts at the 1:55 mark below.

“Denver maybe has the best camp so far in the league. Every reporter that’s been there, ‘wow,'” Cowherd said about the Broncos.

He also notes the brutal injuries with the Chargers, including to left tackle Rashawn Slater, who’s done for the year.

Cowherd goes on to talk about what a weapon second-round pick RJ Harvey will be at running back for the Broncos. And about the Chiefs?

“I think Kansas City is a good team, I think they’re not going to go 11-0 in one score games,” Cowherd said.

Of course, the Chiefs had several unbelievable wins last year, including blocking a 35-yard field goal against the Broncos at the buzzer.

At this point, it’s not just local people who love this Denver football team. It’s national ones as well.

And a good year for the Broncos is now expected, not just some fun story if it happens.
