Sandy and Stokley – 05/24/2016 – C.J. filling in for Sandy Clough along side Brandon Stokley in studio. The guys talk about day 1 of Broncos OTAs with Mark Sanchez throwing an interception and Paxton Lynch throwing for a touchdown. Also, they go through some injuries out at Broncos OTAs and some NBA discussion as the Raprots beat the Cavaliers last night. Drew Goodman from Root Sports joined the guys in the second hour to talk Rockies and 9News Broncos Insider Mike Klis went into Broncos OTAs in the third hour.

Hour one kicks off with Broncos OTA talk. Quarterback Mark Sanchez who was expected to miss some time after thumb surgery was out on the field for day 1 of OTAs. Mark Sanchez threw one interception in the reps he did get on the field. The guys talk about if Mark Sanchez throwing an interception on the first day of OTAs.

Rookie quarterback Paxton Lynch was out on the field taking part in his first OTA as a Bronco as well. Lynch threw for a deep touchdown pass to wide receiver Jordan Taylor. C.J. and Brandon talk about if that’s a good sign for the rookie.

The guys also briefly go into the NBA playoffs with the Raptors evening their series with the Cavaliers at two games a piece last night. C.J. and Brandon discuss what Toronto did at home differently.

Hour two starts with C.J. and Brandon talking more about day 1 of OTAs for the Broncos. They weigh in on positions they are most concerned about as we get deeper into OTAs. C.J. is most concerned about a certain position group on defense. Brandon is thinking the Broncos should be more worried about another position group elsewhere on the team. Also, some other position groups that could be of concern for Denver.

Plus, Rockies play by play voice for Root Sports Drew Goodman joined the show. Drew breaks down the Rockies current road trip as their now heading to Boston to take on the Red Sox, Drew also talks about Rockies outfielder Carlos Gonzalez and his struggles right now at the play. Hour three our very own D-Mac from The Drive joined C.J. and Brandon to give his observations after watching day 1 of OTAs. The guys talk with D-Mac about how the quarterback situation looked out at Dove Valley today on day 1. Mark Sanchez on his second throw of OTAs threw for interception while Paxton Lynch threw a deep touchdown.

Broncos head coach Gary Kubiak talked to the media today at Dove Valley after day 1 of OTAs. C.J. and Brandon listen and react to some of what Kubiak had to say.

9News Broncos Insider Mike Klis jumped on the show to give his insight on day 1 of Broncos OTAs. Mike talks about the player that most impressed him today, how each quarterback did with their reps and the wide receiver position as it stands right now on the roster.
