No further details were immediately available on what happened, but it’s obviously great news that Julian Lewis is recovering. The family asked for privacy as they navigate this situation.
Julian Lewis started the Buffs first four contests this season but was benched at halftime of a loss to Baylor on Sept. 26.
He hasn’t appeared in game action since, with Deion Sanders saying earlier this week “that’s on him” whether or not Lewis would get another chance at Colorado.
The 2-5 Buffs are slated to host Kansas State on Saturday afternoon. Lewis was listed as “doubtful” for this week, according to CU insider Brian Howell.
Isaac Wilson has been Colorado’s QB since the benching of the former five-star recruit Lewis.
