The Denver Broncos had no business being in overtime with the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday and Ja’Quan McMillian knew it — so he did something about it.

McMillian intercepted a lame duck throw by Seattle Seahawks starter Sam Darnold to set up a 53-yard Wil Lutz field goal, giving the Broncos a 17-14 win.

It’s the second time in a recent Broncos game that McMillian had an overtime pick — snagging one on Josh Allen as the Broncos beat Buffalo in the playoffs last year.

The Broncos probably shouldn’t have been in overtime in this game, leading 14-3 in the fourth quarter before the Seahawks mounted a comeback to tie the game in the last minute via a field goal to send the game to overtime.

Lutz, who has struggled a bit in the last several Broncos game, along with big-playmaker McMillian, get to be the heroes on a night Denver’s offense dried up. The Broncos beat the reigning Super Bowl champions and are now 4-2 on the year — next playing a week from Sunday in Arizona.
